Therapy Can be Fun!
You may be wondering what is it like to be a client at Juneberry? While sessions with me are goal-driven, and informed by evidence-based treatments like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, I think therapy is an important space for clients to bring their whole selves: hobbies, silly jokes, favorite games, and all. I firmly believe therapy should be a place where we have some fun!
I also believe in providing therapy that is collaborative and client-centered. This means that together we work towards treatment goals that reflect your values, identities, and lived experiences. For younger clients in particular, I encourage ongoing participation from caregivers in treatment, as healing and change are often a collective effort.
A little more about me: I graduated from University of Washington's MA in Applied Child and Adolescent Psychology: Prevention and Treatment program and have been delighted to be serving youth and families in King County ever since. I am a queer-identifying therapist and and enjoy working with clients with a range of identities and lived experiences. I love the outdoors, dogs, and messy art!
